It is finally Friday.
I am sitting here with my feet propped up reading blogs. I'm waiting on my mother and sister to get back from Huntsville. They are bringing me a vegetable plate from the Piccadilly. Do you have a Piccadilly Cafeteria in your area? I remember when the first Piccadilly opened in Huntsville at The Mall. It has nice carpets, draperies and upholstered chairs. I thought it was so elegant. Fine dining. When I was in high school, the sororities would make the pledges go to the Piccadilly. That was considered hazing. As I got older, I began to enjoy it. It is a decent place to go get a vegetable plate and a piece of pie or cake. I always liked the egg custard, but haven't seen it there in a long time. The women that worked behind the line always said in a redneck accent, "Serve you please." What's so amazing is that some of the same ladies are working behind the line that were working there 30 years ago. And they weren't young 3o years ago. I guess that's all they know and they probably assume that "The Pic" will always be there. And, hopefully it will.
According to the weather, the high Monday will be 78. YES! I am so tired of this hot weather. I don't remember what 78 feels like. I'm not sure I know how to dress for it. I will be so glad when fall weather is here to stay. I bought a good bit of fall basics last year, but did not get much wear out of them. I broke my foot October 20 and was off of my feet for nine weeks. I lived in turtlenecks, long sleeved tees and sweatpants. But, I always had on my pearls and earrings. They made me feel dressed for the day. Yesterday, I searched through my clothes for a few good fall deals that I got last year at the Talbot's outlet in New Hampshire. I found a sweater and a tee. Now to find the remainder of my sweaters and tees. I know that they are in my closet somewhere.
I hope everyone has a good Saturday.

Hope you have a lovely weekend, too! Enjoy the cooler weather...
Mama liked to go to The Picadilly after church on Sundays. I can just hear the ladies at our Picadilly asking to serve me in the redneck accent.
