I went to Williamsburg, Virginia a couple of weeks ago. BFF MAB enjoy a trip there about every two years. We were there in October and decided to do another trip in April The area is one of my favorite places. I never fail to learn something new while I am there. I have a degree in history, plus I am descended from a colonial family. I enjoy learning about my ancestors peers.
It's not all history in Williamsburg. We enjoyed some great shopping while there. One night, we went to the outlets. I bought a basic white blouse at the Brooks Brothers outlet, a azalea cardigan and a multi-strand faux pearl necklace at the J Crew outlet and a couple of pairs of earrings at the Kate Spade outlet. Next door at the Talbot's outlet, I bought a white tee and a 3/4 sleeved red cardigan. One rainy morning, we went to the "old lady outlet center". I was able to replace my Pendleton Lana skirts with a smaller size. I bought black, navy, camel and charcoal gray. I now have some skirts that fit. I also bought a white OCBD and a pink blouse. In the historic area, I bought a few more pieces of tavern dishes and a cute little tea cup with strainer. The tea cup is white with a blue pineapple. I like blue/white porcelain plus I like pineapples. I didn't have good luck at Binn's. I hoped to buy some navy shoes, but did not see any.
There is also good food in the area. We enjoyed meals at three of the taverns and breakfast at the Old Chickahominy House. One night, we had a good meal at the Carrot Tree in Yorktown. I ate more than my share of treats from the Raleigh Tavern Bake Shop. Believe it or not, I only gained 1/2 a pound.
I hope everyone enjoys their Saturday.

Love that you were able to get back to Williamsburg, and that you had some shopping fun too. And good for you on the smaller sizes, yee-hah!
BTW, I *still* shake my head every single time I read about the Toomer Oaks. Just nuts.
Sending you a smile Miss PC&T,
