This morning, while I was getting ready for work, I put my add-a-bead necklace and initial earrings in the cleaner. I wore them to work. I didn't get any weird looks. I think I'll wear the add-a-bead more often.
Tomorrow, we are supposed to wear blue to work to acknowledge Blue Water Day. Our company has a charitable fund called the Blue Water Project. Whenever there is a disaster, such as an earthquake, charitable organizations can apply for funds to be used to provide clean water to the victims. I think it is a great cause. I'm going to wear my LL Bean navy chinos and an LL Bean light blue polo. I'm also wearing RL light blue socks and Tretorns with navy gullwings.
I talked to my mother tonight and she said that Bo has made remarkable improvements. He is walking better and eating from his bowl. She said that he is really enjoying the expensive dog food that the vet prescribed for him. She said that he is still a little bit tired, but he will get his strength back in a few days. The vet was very pleased with his recovery.
I hope everyone has a great Friday.

Today was day three of my strict diet and exercise regime. It is 8:30 and I have made it. Now, if only I can keep it up for 9 more days. I really don't have a goal. I just want to be able to fit into my favorite clothes. I haven't weighed in over a year, but I have a good idea of about how much I weigh.
I still wear my Tretorns every day, but I hope to back into regular shoes by October 1. I wear my Tretorns with everything, dresses, pants, capris, skirts, etc. I ordered socks from ralphlauren.com. Now I have socks to match everything.
Do any of you still wear your add-a-bead necklace? I'm thinking about getting mine out, cleaning it and wearing it. I have a pair of earrings that I want to wear, but my add-a-bead is about the only necklace that I have that will coordinate with it. I don't want to look too dated.
I hope everyone has a great Thursday.

I talked to my mother tonight and she said that Bo is doing some better. She said that he has a good appetite. She said that he is walking farther without losing his balance. I hope he makes it. He is so much company to my mother.
For the past two nights, I have come home and exercised along with some old Gilad exercise videos. I'm very careful with the aerobic exercises. I march in place if it is something that I feel may be uncomfortable for my foot. I mainly want to concentrate on my abdomen and thighs. I'm going to try the exercises for two weeks and see how it goes. I think they will also help with my coordination. Since my accident, my coordination is off. I tried on one of my favorite Talbot's wool skirts this morning. It almost fit. I figure that if I lose five more pounds it will fit like I want it.
Last night after I exercised, I went over to BFF MAB's new house. She closed on it last Thursday, but she's waiting about a month to move in. Her brother is doing some minor remodeling projects right now. The house is beautiful, and I imagine that it will be even more so after the remodeling. Once she gets her furniture and stuff in there, it will be a home.
I hope everyone has a good Wednesday.

BO UPDATE
We were at the vet bright and early to visit Bo. The vet came out and said that we could bring him home. He's at home, laying in his bed. The vet said to feed him a little bit of food on our finger every hour and to give him Pedialyte. He really likes the Pedialyte. The vet said that it is going to take him about 4-5 days to get better. He tries to stand up, but he just falls over. He hasn't gotten his balance back.
Thanks for all of the well wishes for our little Bo.
Enjoy the remainder of your Sunday.

National Iced Tea Month
In case you haven't already heard, June is National Iced Tea Month. If you live in the South, every month is Iced Tea Month. Southerners are known to drink iced tea year round, even during a blizzard. When the blizzard of 1993 hit, I rushed home from work and started brewing iced tea. I didn't want to get caught without electricity and no iced tea. I drink iced tea 365 days a year, 366 days a year during leap year. One time I was in Salem, MA during October. I ordered iced tea and was told by the waitress that they didn't make any that day. BFF MAB laughed and said, "Oh, is it out of season?" The waitress replied, "Well, it is October." We got a good laugh out of that.
Most Southerners take theirs with sugar, but since I watch my calories, I use Sweet n' Low. I also either use lemon, orange or lime slices. Sometimes when I brew tea, I'll use a mint tea bag. I love mint tea. Most Southerners are partial to Lipton, but I buy Red Rose or Red Diamond. Red Diamond is a local company. I don't see it much outside of Alabama. Red Rose is a Canadian brand. It tastes like Lipton used to taste.
One of my favorite places to get iced tea is Captain D's. I don't like the fish, but I love their tea. I always get a large unsweetened iced tea with extra lemon. I like at least 3 or 4 wedges of lemon. I also use 2 packs of Sweet n' Low. I like to go inside when I buy it, so that I can fix my own.
I hope everyone has a good Thursday, and don't forget the iced tea.

I may be a southern girl, but Miss Janice is the "Queen of the Southern Belles". She is our mentor. Like all southern belles, she likes her iced tea. Well, Miss Janice is having a great giveaway. She is giving away an iced tea set along with a couple of other goodies. Hop on over there and sign up.
