I had a great time in Biloxi. I didn't have high expectations so that I would not be disappointed. BFF MAB and I got there about 2:00 Saturday afternoon. We ate a delicious late lunch of fried shrimp and french fries. We then cruised Beach Blvd. We drove to Pass Christian and back. We rode around Pass Christian admiring the beautiful homes. It was sad to see all of the vacant lots. The structures that were once there were destroyed by Katrina.
Sunday we had breakfast at the Beau Rivage, did a few minutes of gambling and then hit the outlets. While at the outlets, I bought a yellow/white striped OCBD at Polo Ralph Lauren, argyle socks at Bass, camisoles at J. Crew and a few kitchen gadgets at Kitchen Collection. That evening, we went to IP Casino for cheeseburgers. After we ate, we visited the casino. When we lost as much as we could stand, we left.
Monday, we went to Beauvoir, Jefferson Davis' last home. We laughed that we celebrated Presidents' Day by visiting the home of the only President of the Confederacy. Then we headed to Ocean Springs to do some shopping. Ocean Springs was spared by Katrina. We left Ocean Springs and went to the Ohr-Okeefe Museum. We viewed the George Ohr and Andy Warhol exhibits. We went back to Ocean Springs to eat at the Phoenicia Gourmet. I had beef kabobs and baklava.
This morning, we headed back home. We were lucky to have great weather while we were there.
I hope everyone has a great Wednesday.
