I had a very relaxing weekend.  I think I deserved it.

It seems longer than two weeks ago that our department at work received our bad news. I have spent the past two weeks scouring the job postings, getting my resume together and thinking about what I want to do.  There are supposed to be many possibilities at work.  I just hope that they get posted soon...real soon.

Queenie had a telephone interview for a good position at another bank.  She was so excited.  The next day, she called the other bank and told them to take her name out of consideration.  She wants to work through her work through date and then get a job a couple of weeks after that.  I hate to be so negative, but I would want to be guaranteed another job before I make the decision to be let go.  She is drooling over her severance.  She sees it as a chance to have some money in savings and not have to worry about living pay check to pay check.  Did I ever tell you that her husband has not worked in approximately 18 years.  He's too good.  She is the bread winner in their family.  In order for her to be able to pocket this extra money, she needs a job waiting for her.  She is getting advice from someone who has never worried about money and who has no clue what it is like to live pay check to pay check.  Like I said, I hate to be negative, but I'm not a risk taker.

I spent the weekend, planning what I'm going to do.  I also came up with a few nice professional outfits to wear in the event that at least one of my job postings works out.    I'm trying to lose weight and my skirts are gradually getting looser.  If I can lose 20 more pounds, I will have a lot of different outfits.

Tonight, we are expecting bad weather.  It is suppose to be out of here by about 9:00 am tomorrow, but it is supposed to be really bad as it moves through.

I hope everyone has a great Monday.  Please stay safe in the weird weather that we are experiencing.
